DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) director Police Senior Superintendent Michael John Dubria officially turned-over his post Friday, March 24, to Police Regional office (PRO)-Davao Senior Superintendent Valeriano De Leon, who will temporarily act as the officer-in-charge.

Dubria, who was installed as DCPO director last June 24, 2016 was awarded with “Medalya ng Kasanayan” in recognition for his outstanding performance during his nine-month term.

A plaque of appreciation was also given to him for his effective management both operation and administration. He was also commended for his leadership among his personnel and support to the regional director of PRO-Davao in maintaining the peace and order in city.

During the Armed Forces of the Philippines/Philippine National Police (PNP) forum held at DCPO conference hall, Dubria expressed how he was proud of the performance of his police officers under his term including the non-participation of illegal activities and none of his cops were tested positive in a series of surprise drug test.

Dubria said one of the incidents he can’t forget under his watch is the Roxas Night Market bombing. The experience, he said would be helpful as he would take over as the senior executive assistant of PNP Chief Director General Ronald dela Rosa in Camp Crame.

Valeriano, meanwhile, formally assumed office before the head executives of various offices of the region Friday.

Also, Senior Superintendent Marvin Manuel Pepino is now the new Provincial Director of the Province of Compostela Valley while Senior Superintendent Thor Cuyos assumed as the new Provincial Director of the Davao Occidental Police Provincial Office.
