A FIVE-day-old baby boy was found along Magsaysay Road in Barangay Taculing, Bacolod City on Monday.
The infant, wrapped in a white cloth, was discovered by concerned citizens who heard him crying at about 10 p.m.
The baby was brought to the Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) at Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) for custody.
Investigation is ongoing to determine the identity of the child’s mother.
Senior Police Officer 4 Arlyn Torrendon, officer-in-charge of WCPD, said the mother could face a child abuse cases for neglect and abandonment of her baby.(GYM)
