TODAY may be your last day of duty as VoxPop Davao’s photojournalist, but your more than two decades in the industry will always be remembered by the people you shared it with. We are truly blessed to have spent our working days with you Sir Seth.

Sir, you were my first seatmate before I was transferred because of being too talkative; but in my defense, that was because you were always a joy to talk to. I truly appreciate the almost two decades we worked together, particularly in sports coverages, enduring the heat and the rain on the field, times when we have to shrug off hunger pangs as we are in the middle of a coverage or beating our deadlines while on out-of-town work... your dedication is such an inspiration and your godly fear is worth imitating. Thank you for being a Big Brother to me all these years. I praise God for the gift of your life and the thousands of photos you have taken. Nong Seth epitomized VoxPop decorum: respected among peers in and out of office, industrious and takes on any assignment with vigor (except lang kung gi-arthritis). Seth’s strength, however, lies in his ability to spot and bring out human emotions in his photos (bisan hiwi ang horizon minsan). His was the first viral photo of VoxPop (the policeman who was dressing the head wound of an old vendor at San Pedro Cathedral), and it took years before any other photo/video surpassed it. He has had many similar photos that touch the heart and not just appeal to the eyes. – Maam Stella
