GAME show host Luis Manzano, who is turning 36 years old next month, said that he does not want to rush into marriage.
Manzano said he and girlfriend, Jessy Mendiola, are fairly new in the relationship and he is mindful of the fact that the television actress has so many things she wants to do.
"Our love story is very, very steady but I'm not forgetting the fact that she's only 24," he said.
The "Minute to Win It" main man added: "I completely understand the fact that she still has so many responsibilities for herself, for her family. And I will never take that away from her."
Manzano said that he respects Mendiola's timetable, just like how she respects his.
But when the right time comes, the television host assures everyone that he will be right beside his girlfriend.
"We're definitely taking our time. I'm not adjusting sa gusto ng mga tao. Yun naman yung sa akin, whatever is true, yun ang sasabihin ko."
Meanwhile, Manzano said he is grateful that Mendiola get along really well with his family, especially with his mother, Batangas Representative Vilma Santos-Recto.
He would bring the actress to their regular weekend family lunch.
"That's how we want it -- as casual, as organic. Yung totoo lang. Kulitan, nagkukwentuhan ng kalokohan. Ganun kami pag nagsama-sama lang," he said.
Manzano added that even with their busy schedule, they make time for each other because they want the relationship to work.
"I think she's very busy and, at the same time, I'm very fortune with work. We have to put in that extra effort to spend time with each other," he said.
He said a lot of good things had happened since they started going out in April last year and he really could not ask for more. (VoxPop Philippines)
