POLICE Regional Office-Davao still does not have a shortlist of officers who will take over as the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) director.

PRO-Davao spokesperson Chief Inspector Andrea dela Cerna said in the Armed Forces of the Philippines-Philippine National Police (PNP) press briefing that they have not yet listed down officers who will take over the position of incumbent DCPO director Senior Superintendent Michael John Dubria, following the receipt of the official order from the PNP headquarters pertaining to his promotion as senior executive assistant effective March 24.

The final decision will be made by Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio.

Dela Cerna added that the candidates will undergo the deliberation of the Senior Officers Placement and Promotion Board to determine the best and qualified personnel for the position.

“Right now, hindi po tayo makapagbigay ng pangalan kaya sabi ng ating Regional Director Manuel Gaerlan, sa level ng senior superintendent ay pwedeng maging kandidato (We cannot drop names so Regional Director Manuel Gaerlan said the candidates will be possible from the senior superintendent level),” she said.

PRO-Davao Deputy Regional Director for Operations Senior Superintendent Valeriano de Leon will be the officer-in-charge while waiting for the next DCPO director.
