No water in Maa areas on Nov. 10

THERE will be a water service interruption in six areas in Maa, Davao City on Thursday, November 10, starting 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., the water utilities firm said.

The Davao City Water District (DCWD) has also advised the public to store enough water prior to the scheduled water interruption. The following areas will have no water: Muslim area, Duwha Compound, Diho Subdivision III, Domsat Road, Earth Road, and Riverside.

DCWD said the water service interruption will give way to the tapping and looping of the newly installed 3-inch diameter Polyvinyl Chloride Pipeline (PVC) to the existing 3-inch diameter PVC pipeline for the mainline improvement at Don Julian Street in San Rafael Village.

Once completed, it will allow for accommodation of additional service connections, the DCWD said.

It is asking for public "understanding and cooperation" and assured affected customers that the water supply may be restored earlier if "work goes smoothly" or "later if unforeseen problems arise."
