THE first Davao City Obstacle Course Challenge, a true test of stamina and endurance, will get underway on March 26 at the Davao Crocodile Park.
Course director Jonathan Pido of Team Titans Davao (TTD) and Philippine National Police (PNP), in a phone interview with VoxPop Davao, said the seven-kilometer race will feature 23 obstacles within the Davao Crocodile Park.
The obstacles are hip hop, net crawl, steeplechase, archery, hurdle, low crawl, monkey bar, log roll, tire flip, spider wall, tunnel, bicycle, rope climbing, sand bad loading, dexterity, monkey bridge, sand bag dragging, bouldering, high wall, 3 kilometer sprint, hanging bridge, log bridge, and sack race.
Pido expects 200 participants to join including those from Zamboanga, Bukidnon, and Cagayan de Oro City.
Participants may compete in individual and team categories. Each team should be composed of five contestants, four males and one female.
Registration fees are P1,200 (individual-early bird), P5,000 (team-early bird), P1,400 (individual-regular rate) and P6,000 (team-regular rate) inclusive of trophy, singlet, finisher's shirt, finisher certificate, post meal, gift check from Edge Outdoor Apparel and a complementary pass at Crocodile Park and Maxima Resort.
The winners in both individual and team event will receive cash prizes and trophies.
