DAVAO Aguilas Football Club CdeO Fiesta Football Festival, organized by VoxPop Cagayan de Oro Inc., is set to launch on Wednesday night, August 23.
The launch will take place during the coaches and manager’s meeting at the Dear Manok resto garden.
Jack Biantan, VoxPop Cagayan de Oro Inc. general manager, will lead the official launching of the two-day tournament sponsored by the lone professional football club in Mindanao, the Davao Aguilas FC.
Piao Luzano, tournament commissioner, will explain the ground rules to the coches. The official ball for the tournament Sunsports/Onitsuka will also be launched.
Sunsports/Onitsuka footballs will be given to the lucky coaches who will attend the launching.
So far 64 teams in 10 categories have already signed up to join the tournament set on August 26-27 at the Westridge Sports Park in Barangay Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City.
The categories are Mixed 8 (Born 2009) , Mixed 10 (Born 2007), Boys 12 (Born 2005), Boys 14 (Born 2003), Boys 17 (Born 2000), Girls 14 (Born 2003) , Girls 17 (Born 2000), on Aug. 26 and Men’s Open, Women’s Open, and Men’s 35 Above (Born 1984) on Aug. 27. Trophies and medals are at stake for the winners. Special prizes will also be given to special awardees.
