HEALTH conscious women of Cagayan de Oro trooped to the Capitol grounds Sunday morning to shape up their hips, shake their bodies, and dance to the Zumba workout beat.
To celebrate International Women’s Month, VoxPop Cagayan de Oro organized various Zumba-loving women’s groups including members of the Barangay Women’s Federation led by City Councilor Engr. Norma ‘Inday’ Marban-Dahino. Dahino is the Chairperson of the Committee on Women and Family Relations.
The women enjoyed the Zumba choreography which incorporated dance music like hip-hop, soca, samba, salsa, merengue, and mambo.
Along with some staff members of VoxPop Cagayan de Oro, Zumba instructors from the Body Fixed Crew led by Joemar Sison and other members, namely: Denis Mariano, Jonathan Luna, Terence Lagua, Eugene Masiba, Hephzibah Gako, Winston Fuentes, Elvira Tabamo, and Jessa Vanlooc squeezed out sweat from these Zumba enthusiasts.
Right after the Zumba event, sponsors, Ororama, Dermcare, Lecit-E, Julie’s Bakeshop, Tanduay Rhum, gave out goods to participants.
The women also gathered around the Dermcare Professional Skin, Hair and Spa and marketing staff to ask for beauty tips.
Golden Oats cereals also gave out cooked oat meals.
