MUAY Thai fighter Alcer Lozada will be back in Cagayan de Oro City with two silver medals to show out from his productive campaign in Bangkok, Thailand.
The 31-year-old Lozada bagged another silver in 69.5 kilogram men’s division of the 4th World Muay Boran Championships last Monday.
On his way to the finals, Lozada suffered bruises in his left foot that eventually slowed him down.
Lozada had accumulated it when he fought a French and a Greek fighter, respectively, in the first two rounds.
And this prompted Lozada to quit in the first round of the finals against an Australian opponent.
Before the World Muay Boran, Lozada salvaged a silver medal in the World Muay Thai Championships last week.
He lost against a Ukrainian foe in their 69.5 kilogram men’s finals.
“Imagine, duha ka world tournaments ang iyang gidula. Syempre, bun-og kaayo siya (he competed in two world tournaments. Of course he’ll be bruised),” said Beh Barothy Hung, who witnessed Lozada’s fight.
