A MAN and his son yielded an estimated P20,000 worth of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) in a drug bust at Purok Kawayanan, Barangay Malingin, Bago City, in Negros Occidental Sunday, May 28.
City Police Chief Joeffer Cabural identified the target subjects as Francisco Seloterio, 57, and his son Jornel, 26, both residents of Barangay Malingin.
Both were subjected to Oplan Tokhang, but the younger Seloterio failed to surrender.
Also arrested was Eliezer Montaño, 29, of Barangay 27, Bacolod City, who brought the items to the Seloterios, Cabural said.
The Seloterios sold shabu to a police agent for P300.
Recovered from them were four sachets of shabu weighing two grams, the P300 marked money, drug paraphernalia, P440 cash, a cellular phone, and a motorcycle.
All suspects are detained at the police station.
In Cadiz City, Jelon Alegiojo, 21, of Purok Narra 3, Barangay Tinampa-an, was collared by police in a drug bust on Sunday. Recovered from him were three sachets of shabu, cellular phone, and the P500 marked money.
Christopher Uy was arrested in Barangay Sagua Banwa, Valladolid town, on May 26 after police seized from him an estimated P6,000 worth of shabu weighing 1.5 grams.
Also arrested for sale and possession of illegal drugs last May 23 was Ruben Ruizan Jr. He was collared by police in Barangay Nagbualaw, Basay, Negros Oriental, after police confiscated from him eight grams of shabu worth P88,000 in a buy-bust.
Both operations were led by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Negros Island Region under the supervision of lawyer Roselyn Borja.
Uy and Ruizan were both target drug personalities of PDEA.
