THE Philippines is a democratic country. We want to believe that, even some of us cannot understand where democracy begins… where democracy ends.
Truth is the state or quality of being true. Someone who is telling the truth is truthful. Allegation is an assertion or statement yet to be proved.
Our newspaper top stories are sometimes comical. They are more entertaining, amusing, funny, and confusing. If we do not understand very well what they mean, we take them as “comic relief” comparable to the exciting “tsismis” about a very drunk John Lloyd Cruz in the social media with the special participation of controversial beauty, Ellen Adarna.
The truth and the person telling the truth are rare media species. We can’t believe that the 118 “honorable” members of the House of Representatives voted to give only P1,000 budget for the Commission on Human Rights (CHR). Have they consulted their constituents before voting?
They have to understand that they are “representatives” only. We are in a democracy and we need the CHR to check on the atrocities of some “comedians” in the government. Good because they have come to their senses. Can the Senate save CHR budget?
“Check and balance” is essential in the survival of democracy. President Digong “coughed” on CHR Chairman Chito Gascon and the 119 “servants of the people” in the Lower House have been contaminated. We do not believe in the allegation that CHR is anti-Philippine National Police and military. The truth is… there are policemen who need “sanity check-up” and they do not fully realize the meaning of “to serve and to protect.”
These putrescent policemen in the service are the ones who are satanic and need to be exorcised and kicked out dishonorably from the ranks.
President Digong and Senator Trillanes can never become lovers. That is the truth. Trillanes made an attempt to be the other half of Digong (as alleged) before the election in 2016. Digong rejected him because Digong confirmed that “he is not running for president and he will run only if Jesus Christ will come down from heaven and tell him.”
He said that in Davao and (in other places) during the annual convention of the Association of Tourism Officers of the Philippines. Now, who needs a truth doctor? And now he lied on the bank accounts of Trillanes in Singapore. If he lied in one, the others follow.
Senator Trillanes is challenging President Digong and Vice Mayor Paulo Duterte to open their bank accounts to the public. Trillanes alleged that they have hidden billions of pesos also.
The Dutertes considered the challenge of Trillanes as a bluff and a blunder. If the Dutertes cannot afford to show the tattoo of Vice Mayor Paulo Duterte in public, how much more their alleged bank deposits?
Allegations become productive if the purpose is to make someone a stand-up comedian. The President makes himself very funny.
Senator Jinggoy Estrada is now out of prison. He got a P1.33-million bail. Many eyebrows were raised. (Senator Bong Revilla and “Pork Barrel Queen” Janet Lim Napoles will follow soon.) My friends, that is “due process” in a democracy. That happened to former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. If you do not have evidences with “solid form and substance,” good lawyers will always find a hole in our law that could be used to release the accused. That is Philippine democracy.
Many may not agree but in the “due process” the process is always “overdue.” This could be an allegation but this is the truth. “Kicking out bad policemen” has become viral. It happened in Caloocan and now happening in Pasay. President Digong “loved so much” his policemen that some of them became abusive. The “abusadong pulis” are just like criminals.
Criminals can be killed if they “shoot first.” Who will “shoot first” the bad policemen? General Bato has to face the truth. Is it true that bad policemen are just recycled? This could be an allegation. Many said that all these are just cover-ups to forget the real score of “drug tara” at the Bureau of Customs. Faeldon will be gradually forgotten. The tattoo of Vice Mayor Paul will gradually disappear. Christmas season will gradually start and all of us will start singing “Ang Pasko ay Sumapit.”
Here is the truth that we want to happen starting from the President. “His excellency” should not start pity quarrel with the lower officials.
He should not speak “bad words.” They are not taught in kindergarten class. He should be consistently consistent in his statements. The world is watching us (including God). He should focus on “build, build, build, and more.” He has to challenge government agencies to solve the problems. Okay?
