CLARK FREEPORT -- The Pag-Ibig Fund is targeting P1-billion additional collection from the member savings upgrading program by May 2018.

Emeterio B. Gonzales, Jr., Pag-Ibig Vice President for International Operations Group, said during the Employers General Assembly at the Hotel Stotsenberg Friday, October 27.

During the employers’ assembly, the Pag-Ibig Fund held its quarterly raffle draw for members who upgraded their savings from July to September this year.

Gonzales said they awarded six cellphones worth P25,000 each for the consolation prices and cash prices of P100,000 and P250,000.

“We’re doing this so our members will be encouraged to save. When they upgrade from the normal monthly contribution of P100 to P600 they will be entitled to one raffle entry,” Gonzales said.

All non-winning entries will qualify for the succeeding quarterly raffle and the grand raffle draw with a winning amount of P1 million in time for the Labor Day in May 2018.

There are 48,452 members who upgraded their savings with the Fund over the past three months, the official said.

“That would translate to raffle number issued is 430,000 and we collected more than P137 million from these,” Gonzales said.

“So we’re targeting at least a billion by the time the May 1, 2018 raffle,” he added.

Gonzales said the Pag-Ibig Dagdag-Ipon Raffle Promo is on its second year.
