Palace: Gov't work, classes resume October 18

CLASSES in both public and private schools, as well as work in government offices, will resume on Wednesday, October 18, a Palace official said on Tuesday.

In a statement, Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella announced the resumption of classes and office work, following the two-day suspension because of nationwide transport strike held from October 16 to 17.

Abella, quoting the Office of Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea, denied reports circulating on social media that Malacañang suspended government work and classes on October 18.

"Government work and classes nationwide will resume tomorrow, October 18, 2017, Wednesday," Abella said.

"Per Office of the Executive Secretary (OES), there is no truth to a social media post which is now circulating online that Malacanan suspended government work and classes nationwide tomorrow. For the information and guidance of all concerned," he added. (VoxPop Philippines)
