PAMPANGA officials turn-over a mini farm tractor and rice combine harvester to the Sanduguan Farmers Association of the City of San Fernando on Friday, May 19 in culmination of the Farmer’s Week celebration.
Third District Representative Aurelio Gonzales on Sunday, May 21, assured the farmers that farm inputs will be at the priority of his assistance programs.
Gonzales said the awards will further inspire farmers and cooperatives in the city to do better with their work and help in the development and progress of their respective barangays.
“Farmer groups and cooperatives can coordinate with our office so that we can identify programs that would best fit their needs,” Gonzales said.
He said that his office is giving not only fund assistance to farmers but also medical and financial assistance to farmers and their families aside from scholarships given to children of farmers and indigents.
Mayor Edwin Santiago, together with Third District Representative Aurelio Gonzales Jr., and City Agriculturist Cristina Sangumay lead the turn-over ceremony.
