PANASIATIC Solutions Inc. in Bacolod City has renewed its contract with PhilCare being the health insurance provider for its call center agents and employees for almost four years now.
The contract was signed recently by PanAsiatic site director and general manager Siony Hijara-Ferraris, and PhilCare AVP for VizMin Carmel Montesclaros, in the presence of Therese Molagros Nolasco and Malu Caraig, PanAsiatic compensation and benefit manager, and human resource director, respectively.
The signing rite was part of the 7th anniversary celebration of PanAsiatic held at its second building.
Montesclaros said that every year, it has always been the objective of PanAsiatic to improve the coverage it provides to its employees.
This year the coverage is more enhanced, she added.
Hijara-Ferraris said the benefit is being provided to the employees regardless of their status, even to those who are still probationary.
The moment they sign up, they already have PhilCare coverage, she said.
Hijara-Ferraris said that every year, they review the top needs of their employees.
They are more focused on common health issues that affect them like upper respiratory infection or community acquired pneumonia, she added.
“We do more on the preventive side by trying to do more activities and programs for our employees so they will understand how to take care of their health and, hopefully, minimize the number of incidents specific to upper respiratory illnesses,” Hijara-Ferraris said.
Montesclaros said PanAsiatic has one of the best wellness initiatives in this region, having activities geared towards promoting wellness and health.
She added that it has also one of the best clinic facilities in the region.
PanAsiatic has become the benchmark of how a business process outsourcing firm should be managed in terms of workplace productivity and workplace wellness, she said.
Hijara-Ferraris said that in terms of their wellness program, PanAsiatic was awarded as the Best Employer for PhilHealth for 2016.
She also said they conduct random drug testing on their employees and officers.
If an employee tests positive for drugs, he or she will be made to undergo rehabilitation since they want PanAsiatic to be drug-free, she added.
