ALL THINGS seem normal at the Mabalacat City Hall in Xevera, Tabun with the new Garbo administration running past its hundred days of supposedly feeling out the various operations and complexities of governance.
After streamlining the workforce previously annointed by the Morales tenure, the new dispensation has fielded its new team: Atty. Emmanuel Ignacio as the city legal officer vice Atty. Marivic Rivera Gillera; Rosan Paquia as the new city administrator replacing his ertswhile subordinate Bernard delos Reyes; Atty. Aileen Rigor, CPA, who replaced the late Teodor David as the city accountant; and Patrick Fiel Sacay
who replaced Marino Morales, Jr , who promptly resigned as the executive assistant as soon as he learned that his namesake father and mayor Marino Morales would step down in compliance to the DILG cease and desist order.
So, it was a new order, a new mandate and a new team at the Mabalacat city hall.
Promptly streamlining the previous workforce cutting the roster of job order contract holders numbering more than a thousand under former mayor Boking, the incoming team of Cris Garbo set foot at the city hall and began business thereat. Cris Garbo is the new city mayor after a long time of uncertainty and sallivating.
His first marching orders were: to provide portalets at public and private cemeteries in anticipation of the influx of visitors to the graves of their loved ones for Undas and affording them convenience and relief, reinvigorating the MCTEG, spread all over the main thoroughfares of the city, the recall of City Government vehicles, the headcount of current employees, improvement of health facilities and the ample
supply of medicines.
Remeber that Mayor Garbo came from the provincial board where he served long enough to be in the good graces of the governor and so he can enlist the Capitol's help and resources enabling him to purchase that lot between the SCTEx and San Rafael Parish Church to set up a new city government center at Mabiga, now the business center of the city and which will soon see much improvement and development within Mayor Garbo's term.
Mayor Garbo envisions a much developed city in the remaining years of his term: thus creating a city of grandeur and prosperity, improving further its good image and serving fully and faithfully the city residents. Now with a budget of P1.5 billion, he envisions to maximize the benefits for the city's 27 barangays: social, economic, physical (health) and spiritual aspects as he himself has transformed from near abrasive to a Bible-quoting local chief executive. All things point to creating a city of grandeur or CCG.
