SOME offices are inhabited by incompetent staff, people who do not consider the consequences of their issuances.
One such office is the Villages Water System, a water supply provider found at Fiesta Communities, Tabun, Mabalacat City.
Said firm issued us a Disconnection Notice dated July 21, 2017 when in fact the bill was already paid. Such notice creates apprehension and embarrassment and inconvenience is indeed the water supply to our house is disconnected. The bill? It was a measly P729.08 including penalty charge if not paid on due date.
I would not have created a fuss if the water facility exercised care and prudence by double-checking its records. It services hundreds of households in this vastly improving subdivision.
Consumers need consider paying bills for services such as water, electricity, telephone and cable bundle. These items are, after all, included in the family budgets and amounts therefore should be set aside untouched except for emergencies.
Another firm which frowns on past due accounts is PELCO II, or Pampanga Electric Cooperative II which has a collection and billing office at Xevera, Tabun.
Now under new management, Pelco II has introduced improvements on its billing and collection schemes. It gives its consumers three days within which to pay their accounts.
