IN A speech on Tuesday, September 19, Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte admitted having a tattoo on the back but not a dragon tattoo.
The vice mayor, represented by Councilor April Marie Dayap on Tuesday, told the members of the Philippine Councilors League during their convention at SMX Convention Center, SM Lanang Premier that there is no dragon tattoo.
"I assure you that I have a tattoo but it is not a dragon tattoo," he said in the first part of his message relayed by Dayap.
The vice mayor said in a previous interview that he will show his tattoo when the right time comes.
"Kabalo mo tama 'tong abogado nako, dili ko uto-uto but when the time comes na mahulog na siya sa kataas sa iyang lupad ipakita nako ninyo (You know my lawyer is right, I am not a fool, when the right time comes, when Senator Antonio Trillanes IV falls, I will show it to you)," he said.
He said that he already asked the tattoo artist, through his brother Sebastian, not to post his tattoo in any media form.
"Siyempre palaguton gyud nimo ang kalaban hangtod mabuak ang ilang utok labi na ng mga yellowtards, labi na kanang sa social media nga mura nag mga buang (Of course, you have to play with your enemies until they lose their minds, especially the yellowtards, those who are in social media and attack like crazy)," he said.
Trillanes, during the Senate hearing for the P6.4-billion shabu shipment from China, challenged Duterte to show the tattoo, which allegedly contained the drug triad symbol.
On September 7, Duterte and his brother-in-law lawyer Manases Carpio attended and answered to the inquiry of senators in Senate hearing after they were tagged by self-confessed Bureau of Customs broker Mark Taguba as part of the Davao Group.
