THE chief of the disbanded anti-narcotics team of the Cebu Provincial Police Office (CPPO) is the new commander of the police force in Dalaguete, Cebu.
CPPO spokesperson Superintendent Virgilio Bayon-on said Chief Inspector Rolan Aliser, the former Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) commander, replaced Senior Inspector Verniño Noserale on Monday, October 16.
Noserale was transferred to the CPPO headquarters.
Bayon-on said the other PDEU operatives were distributed to other units.
Superintendent Emerson Dante, of the Provincial Investigation and Detective Management Branch, was appointed by CPPO Director Edgar Alan Okubo as the new deputy provincial director for operations, replacing Superintendent Ryan Manongdo, who was transferred to Iloilo police.
There is no order yet on who will replace Dante.
Bayon-on said Okubo inspected the police stations in Dalaguete, Sibonga and Argao on Monday, and said these offices are performing, but not quite well.
The police chiefs of Argao and Sibonga stay in their respective posts.
Bayon-on said there are other police stations being monitored for their poor performances, but he declined to identify them. (KAL/VoxPop Cebu)
