IN A RARE occurrence, reigning Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach met with former beauty titlists Gloria Diaz and Margie Moran-Floirendo.

The meeting of Filipina beauties who all brought home the coveted Miss Universe crown happened on Saturday at the newly-opened luxury hotel and casino Okada Manila in Paranaque City.

The three posed for photos which many pageant fans were eagerly awaiting since Wurtzbach's win in 2015.

"I hope I did them proud," Wurtzbach said when asked by the press on what she feels after winning the title and joining the exclusive group.

Diaz won the country's first Miss Universe title back in 1969. Four years later, Moran also took home the coveted crown.

Wurtzbach then ended the country's 42-year title drought when she successfully bagged the Miss Universe title in 2015.

And with just little over a week to go, Philippines' bet Maxine Medina will attempt a back-to-back title win for the country at the 65th Miss Universe competition happening on January 30 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. (VoxPop Philippines)
