BEMEDALLED Jonathan Pido of the Philippine National Police (PNP) and Team Titans Davao (TTD) will try to break his personal record when the 2nd season of the Panabo Runners Club (PRC) 75 Ultra marathon kicks off on July 8 from Municipality of Montevista to Panabo City.
Pido, the first PRC75 champion, said he aims to surpass his record of six hours and 48 minutes in the upcoming race that expects 60 participants from Panabo City, Tagum City, General Santos City, Bukidnon City and Davao City.
"Ako pud ni siyang peak training para sa upcoming Davao Ultrarunners Club (DUC) 300km from Butuan to Davao City (This will also serve as my peak training for the upcoming Davao Ultrarunners Club (DUC) 300km set this August 3)," Pido, who placed second in the recent Davao Oriental 50th Anniversary 50 kilometer Ultra marathon race in Mati City, said.
Pido, however, said that it would be a tight competition
with the presence of strong contenders Arnie Macañeras and Police Officer (PO2) Jules Cayetano.
The cut-off time of the race presented by the PRC will be after 15 hours.
Registration is pegged at P1,800 inclusive of a race bib, customized finisher's trophy, finisher’s medal, carbo-loading and post-race meal.
