Pink & Gold Salon: Satisfaction guaranteed

Published on

FOR someone who has been in constant search for a beauty hub that can perfectly provide my dream hair color, having found Pink & Gold Salon is surely a big relief.

I must admit, I could no longer count the number of times that I get so frustrated whenever I come out of a parlor without me achieving my kind of hair. So let me share with you my personal hair journey and the story behind this Davao City-based salon where satisfaction has always been guaranteed.

Opened in October 31, 2009, Pink & Gold Salon is operated by former bankers Golda Valenzona Divinagracia and Pinky Soriano Pineda. As gorgeous women who have always believed that every woman is beautiful, they have been committed to bring out their beauty even more.

Fashion Nook: Why this business?

Ms. Golda: I own Bloom Facial Spa and was in business for five years back then. Pinky was operating a home-based salon for five years, too. She was ready to go commercial because her kids have grown already. We met up and after a month, we opened Pink & Gold American Italian Salon.

FN: Why should we choose Pink & Gold?

Ms. Golda: You should choose Pink & Gold because we assure you the quality products and services. Plus, we source our products not just from suppliers in the Philippines; we also source some highly innovative products from other countries like Japan, Germany, Spain, Italy and USA. We do product research and testing first before we offer it to our clients.

FN: How competitive are you, especially when it comes to affordability?

Ms. Golda: We are highly competitive. Our price is just a fraction of standard Manila prices and even lower than other mall-based local salons.

Meanwhile, in terms of keeping themselves beautiful in and out until now (Ms. Golda is 46, while Ms. Pinky is 44), they have this simple advice: "We work, we play, we pray."

For them, beauty is defined in two major ways, to wit: 1) what can be seen and measured by shape, color and size; 2) what cannot be seen but can be felt by the heart like poetry and music. So there is the physical beauty and the "aura" beauty.

"Aura can be radiated thru happiness, confidence, love and kindness. How important it is to stay beautiful? As important as one is taking care of oneself," they quipped.

When asked for practical and affordable beauty tips, Ms. Golda had this to say: "Hydrate with water. Keep tidy. Contrast is the new color theme. Go and play with dark and light colors in your outfits and hair color- go get that Balayage, you deserve it."

True enough, with Marlon Gonzaga at the helm of the entire treatment process and with the help of some junior stylists, my dream hair color was finally achieved. And I couldn't be happier with the result. It was just perfect!
