Pitpitunge, Corton pulls off impressive win in cage return

FIGHTING police officer Crisanto Pitpitunge bucked an almost 18 month of lay off as he scored thrid round technical knock out in the main event of Team Lakay Championship 14 at the Baguio Convention Center on Saturday.

The Team Lakay slugger wasted no time in engaging Ralf Noy Francisco of D' Elements MMA with the end coming in the third round via ground and pound with 1:23 remaining, improving his record to 8-5 over all.

In the co-main event of TLC 14 dubbed 'Battle for Dominance', Jon Chris Corton, also of Team Lakay made a huge impact in his return after almost a year of absence with a first round stoppage of Jhunior Diapolit of D' Elements MMA.

In the undercard, Mark Tidang suffered another sorry loss as he yielded to Tribal Torogi's Jessdan Dela Pena in the first round via doctor's stoppage while Vincent Velaque of Team Lakay bagged another win against Kenneth Banasan of Tribal Submission in the second round via referee stoppage.

Alos pulling of a pair of victories from Team Lakay are Jaybee Ban-eg and Biondi Dayangadang against Jared Almazan (Gridlock MMA) and Arniel Lumayno (MMA Wellness Bataan), respectively.

Debuting Binky Falitnang of Lakay Training Center submitted Ryan Culas of D' Elements MMA while Jahn Serbo of Lakay San Fernando edged Marcos Lampacan of Fight Corps MMA via referee stoppage in the third round.

The two K1 event featuring John Naimes of Lakay Training Center and Bryan Aban of Siamyout Muay Thai Academy; Ezra Saclag of Lakay Training Center amd Cornelio Banwar of Fight Corp MMA, all ended up in a draw.
