APALIT – After authorities discovered mega shabu laboratories in the towns of Magalang and Arayat last September, another suspected clandestine methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu laboratory allegedly operated by Chinese nationals was found in a residential area in Barangay San Juan in this town on Saturday.
In the abandoned residence owned by Robert Ngan Yiu Ting, also known as Robert Gan, located at Sitio San Niño, several equipment, controlled precursors and essential chemicals used in the production of methamphetamine hydrochloride were found.
The suspected shabu laboratory was discovered after Enrique Calaguas, Sheriff IV of Regional Trial Court Branch 79, City of Malolos, Bulacan served the Writ of Execution regarding a civil case involving Gan and two other Chinese nationals identified as Lolita Gan and Raymond T. Gan.
During the implementation, Calaguas reportedly found suspicious equipment and chemicals suspected to be used in the manufacture of illegal drugs which prompted him to immediately call for police assistance.
Joint Apalit Police Station and Regional Crime Laboratory III operatives immediately proceeded to the warehouse where they found a sack of sodium hydroxide, five blue gallons of hydrogen peroxide and three boxes of red phosphorous.
Also found in the abandoned house are bundles of TLC paper, 16 sacks of rocky solar salt, one bottle of red phosphorous, two stainless vacuum pumps, 10 sacks of activated carbon, one opened white sack containing 10 packs of white powder and a black bag containing 15 packs of white powder.
Police also recovered several equipment such as an Echuang VXIACUUM packaging machine, three electric motors, a manual weighing scale, one brown cylindrical barrel containing gray pellets, one green cylindrical steel containing brown powder, three boxes with three rectangular stainless pans, a white five cubic foot American Home freezer, a portable digital weighing scale, a big digital weighing scale, one red box containing an electronic pocket weighing scale, one piece LPG tank and one 3D gas stove.
Meanwhile, Robert Gan and his alleged cohorts Lolita Gan and Raymond T. Gan are now subjects of a manhunt operation for eluding the civil case against them and for allegedly operating a shabu laboratory.
