GRUDGE is seen as the motive behind the killing of a school instructor inside a barber shop in Talisay City, Negros Occidental Monday evening.
Elias Redel, 57, was waiting to get a haircut and was reading a newspaper when the assailant shot him. The victim taught courses at the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Training Center in the said city.
Superintendent Adonis Rosales, chief of Talisay City Police Station, said the unidentified assailant probably has a grudge because of the way he killed the victim.
Rosales said there was an intent to kill the victim since he was shot at close range.
The assailant fled on foot “like nothing happened," he added.
Redel was shot in his left eye and the bullet went through his ear.
Police recovered at the crime scene a bullet and used cartridge of .45 caliber.
Rosales said they have yet to identify the suspect as the investigation is ongoing.
