THE Police Regional Office in Negros Island Region (PRO-18) needs 850 policemen based on the quota given to them by the Philippine National Police (PNP).
PRO-18 Information Officer Armilyn Vargas said the regional office should have 700 policemen to be exclusively detailed as public security forces (PSF) and 150 policemen to fill in the vacated positions of retirees and suspended policemen.
Vargas said the PNP has a quota of 10,000 for regular recruitment program and 8,700 of which are allocated exclusively for PSF while the remaining 1,300 is for the other PNP units around the country.
The quota of the attrition recruitment nationwide should reach 4,484, based on a press release of PRO-18.
Vargas said the online screening of applicants will be held on April 3. (GYM)
