PORAC -- The Municipal Government of Porac, led by Mayor Condralito Dela Cruz and Vice-Mayor Dexter David, led the turnover of new high-powered assault rifles to the local police.
The officials turned-over 20 units M4 Carbine Assault Rifles worth P800,000. The turnover was witnessed by Pampanga Police Director Senior Supt. Joel Consulta.
The firearms were received by Porac Police Chief Supt. Mahar Villasis who thanked the municipal government for its support to the local police force. He added that the new equipment will help the local police in better responding to armed incidents in the town if any.
David, for his part, said that they hope to improve the shooting capability of the local police to better perform their anti-criminality programs in the town.
He added that the support also aims to boost the morale of the local police force and to assure them that the local government is in full support of their programs.
David also reminded the police to responsibly use the firearms under the knowledge that these are meant to be used in their job to protect the people.
He added that the leadership of Dela Cruz is always in close coordination with the local police to ensure peace and order in the town.
