POWER supply in several areas in Metro Cebu have been restored less than an hour after it was cut off due to the magnitude 6.5 earthquake that hit Leyte province on Thursday afternoon, July 6.
Lonilyn Linao, customer service representative of Visayan Electric Company (Veco), said electricity was restored in the affected areas before 5 p.m.
Linao, however, said that some areas in the city still experience rotational brownouts, which started at 6 p.m. These areas are Barangay Banilad, Barangay Kasambagan, IT Park, Apas, Lahug, Salinas Drive, Ayala Business Park and some areas along M.J. Cuenco Avenue.
Veco vowed to restore the power supply as soon as possible.
