SENIOR Superintendent Rolando Miranda was assigned as officer-in-charge of Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) while Senior Superintendent Rodolfo Castil Jr. is undergoing training in Manila.
Senior Inspector Armilyn Vargas, public information officer of Police Regional Office (PRO)-Negros Island Region, announced this in an interview over ABS-CBN Bacolod Tuesday, April 18.
Miranda is concurrently the chief of the PRO Regional Directorial Staff.
Castil was assigned as officer-in-charge of NOCPPO last April 1 through the directive of Director General Ronald Dela Rosa, chief of Philippine National Police, replacing Senior Superintendent William Señoron after the latter was tagged in the illegal drug trade.
Moreover, Superintendent David Cachumbo Jr. and Senior Inspector Hector Balbon, chiefs of Bago City Police Station and Murcia Municipal Police Station respectively, were relieved from their posts effective April 16 to pursue career advancement.
Cachumbo was moved to the Regional Personnel Holding and Accounting Unit. Balbon was transferred to NOCPPO headquarters while waiting for his assignment.
Chief Inspector Joeffer Cabural of Nocppo headquarters took over Cachumbo’s post while Senior Inspector Reynaldo Santillan, deputy chief of Cauayan Municipal Police Station, assumed Balbon’s post in Murcia.
