THE Police Regional Office (PRO)-Negros Island Region (NIR) will turn over its staff and properties to Police Regional Office (PRO)-Western Visayas in Iloilo City on September 25.
Senior Inspector Armilyn Vargas, public information officer of PRO-NIR, said Tuesday they want to have a smooth transition of personnel, logistics, equipment and other properties to the regional office in Iloilo City before the official closure of PRO-NIR on October 9.
Vargas said they will also turn over the cases handled by the PRO-NIR.
“We want to know their specific needs and other required compliance to make sure that everything is in order,” she added.
The directorial staff of PRO-NIR headed by Chief Superintendent Edmund Gonzales met with their counterparts in Iloilo City led by Chief Superintendent Cesar Binag, PRO-Western Visayas director, on Monday.
Vargas said the PRO-NIR offices will remain open until October 9 based on the executive order of President Rodrigo Duterte abolishing the NIR.
