DIRECTOR Quark Henares has clarified all is well now between him and his mother, celebrity doctor Vicki Belo.
Henares made headlines last month when he revealed on social media that Belo failed to inform him that she and her fiancé, Hayden Kho, have tied the knot in Manila.
The intimate wedding took place last June 23 and was officiated by Makati Mayor Abigail Binay.
In an interview with the director on Wednesday, during the TBA Studios launch, Henares said that Belo already apologized and the wedding was meant for their travel requirements to France.
"Okay na. Nag-sorry rin noong umuwi na ako. Kasi magpapakasal naman talaga sila di ba, kailangan lang ng French Embassy ng proof ng marriage. Hindi siya big thing. Kaya kung makikita mo parang apat lang sila. Medyo na-guilty na rin siya na hindi ako nasabihan. But, all is good in the world," he said.
To recall, Belo and Kho earlier announced that they will get married in September in Paris, France.
Asked if he has a special participation in the wedding, Henares said he will be a best man and will walk Belo down the aisle.
Cristalle, his younger sister, will also be part of the wedding.
"They went to Paris two weeks ago to check out the place and everything. It's very exciting. I think they chose that city because a lot of their relationship was spent together in Paris."
Henares also disclosed that it was actually Kho who is overseeing the whole wedding preparation.
"Hayden is the one who is on top of the wedding. And then my mom is there. They have a pretty good team, yung team behind Cristalle's wedding."
The director added that he doesn't have any problem with Kho marrying his mother.
"Hindi ko nga alam kung Tay o Pop o Dad. I don't know. But there's no animosity between us," he said.
In the end, Henares said that Belo and Kho have the support of their whole family, especially now that the couple has a daughter, Scarlet.
"It's really a family. You have to support that, you have to be behind that. Scarlet is already living a special life. So, it would be nice for her and that would keep her grounded," he ended.
