JASPER Quimanhan captured the February title in the recently-concluded Tenpin Masters Challenge (TMC) Season Three championship shootout at East Bowling Center, Lopue’s East Centre in Bacolod City.
Second seed Quimanhan outscored top seed Paul Pacis in the final game, 190-168 after hitting an average score of 196 pinfalls. Quimanhan is one of the products of the Sugarbowl Tenpin Association Inc.'s (STAI) summer bowling clinic.
In the semi-final round, Quimanhan spanked Morales, 199-161 while Pacis downed Chavoso, 221-191 to earn a finals shootout slot.
With the win, Quimanhan joined this season's elite royalty of tenpinners including OJ Lopue, Alfredo Yulo, Herman Santos, Paco Collantes, and Sherwin Jardeleza.
Fourth seed Teody Chavoso defeated third seed Jam Morales, 208-180 to finish second runner-up while Raymund Livioco settled for the fourth runner-up honor.
Completing the TMC top ten bowlers were Tony Vasquez, Raymund Ibrado, Leoner Ynzon, Ariel Yelo, and Willy Nieva.
Top 10 qualifiers will play in the Masters Event for a five-game elimination round on March 30.
