TOP seed Jasper Quimanhan lived up to his billing averaging 220 pinfalls in seven games to win the September Tenpin Masters Challenge (TMC) Season Four Shoot-Out Finale at Lopue’s East Bowling Center in Bacolod City.
With the new oiling pattern working in his favor, Quimanhan bowled a 261 against Herman Santos’ 200 in the championship.
It was the same oiling pattern used in the Masters Event in this year’s Negros Tenpin Bowling Open where he finished first.
Teody Chavoso bounced back to beat Engr. Ariel Yelo, 213-190 for second runner-up post.
Quimanhan dominated fourth seed Chavoso with a score of 239-182 while third seed Santos bested Yelo, 226-200 in the crossover semifinal. OJ Lopue was fifth.
Completing the top 15 Masters are Richel Gumban, Tol de Asis, Julius Pabiona, Raymund Livioco, Helson Rosales, Dr. Tony Vasquez, Romie Li, Virgilio Arcolas, Joemil Villarosa, and Boyet Bullos.
Quimanhan now joined the elite tenpinners this season Larnie Vencer and Dwight Somcio.
The next top 10 qualifiers will play in the Masters Event for a five-game elimination round on October 26.
Prizes are up to top five but only the top four will advance to the Shoot-Out Finale.
The oiling pattern chosen this time is Pattern #1 which has a buff area of 50 feet, 40 feet of oil and has a total volume of 18.32 ml.
The previous oiling pattern had 19.53 ml of oil, buff area of 36 feet and 31 feet of oil.
TMC is played every Tuesdays and Thursdays.
