Red Cross chapter officers elected

THE new set of board of directors of the Philippine Red Cross Negros Occidental-Bacolod City Chapter were elected during the 11th Chapter Assembly Friday, August 18, held at the MassKara Hall of Bacolod Government Center.

Of the 37 candidates, 25 were chosen to complete the new set of officers.

Elected were Francis Joseph Jalandoni, retired Judge Demosthenes Magallanes, Ryan Gamboa, Alfredo Barcelona, Hans Francis Ferraris, Jorge Lim, Eduardo Go, Eugenio Lacson, Bryant Lao, Em Ang, Jude Thaddeus Sayson, Caesar Distrito, Ma. Isabel Lizares, Roberto Montelibano, Ernesto Coo, Arthur Cooper, Manuel Escalante, Benjamin Ortega, Wilson Chong, Arthur Yap, Greg Gasataya, Carlos Ganihong, Christine Toledo, Joel Chua and Paul Lizares.

Magallanes, outgoing chairman of board of directors, said the new set of officers will device the ways and means for the smooth operation of the chapter.

“We are trying to expand our services, and I expect that the new officers will try help expand the chapter to serve more Negrenses,” he said.

He added that the officers will help the chapter to find more blood donors to help those in need.

The chapter holds a general assembly every three years to elect a new set of officers. (MAP)
