THE Rizal Memorial College (RMC) Next Gas and RMC Bulldogs clinched titles in their respective categories in the just-concluded 21st Kariyawan Football Festival held at the Monkayo Central Elementary School Football field on Saturday.
The RMC Next Gas relied on the services of Romeo Poblacion who scored the game winning goal to beat the Monkayo Football Club 1-0, in their titular showdown in the open category.
The Next Gas is bannered by Warren Ravanes, Gregorio Zamora, Ian Delos Reyes, Reynante Bangi, Poblacion, James Dulza, Noel Teves, Jessie Alvair, Cedie Atangan and Khadaffy Biruar with their coaches Imardino Polo and Harold Amatong and team manager Nelson Chavez.
RMC Bulldogs, for its part, blanked the Mawab Football Club 4-0, and captured the under 17 title.
Kobe Amantong led the charge for the Bulldogs by recording two goals while teammates Mujer Sumail and Francis Arcan added one goal apiece.
The Bulldogs was represented by Amatong, Arcan, Sumail, Angelo Paring, MarivilMedillo, Marlon Medillo, Justin Suaybaguio, Cedric Plaza, Mark dela Peña, JoverCacatian and Joshua Abalunan.
Other champions were the Mati City FC (under 17 girls), Montevista FC (under 13) and Montevista B (under 15).
All winners received medals and certificates from the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Monkayo.
The footfest was organized by tournament director Aya Jesmer Tampog and sponsored by the LGU of Monkayo headed by Ramil Gentugaya.
