ROBIN Padilla already had a hunch that his daughter Kylie is pregnant even before the latter confirmed it to him.
Saging naman!" said the action star after the turnover ceremony of the donated books from MoneyGram Foundation to University of the Philippines Integrated School in Pasig.
The actor admitted that he is not yet ready to see the 24-year-old Kylie as a mother.
Padilla initially thought that it was only his eldest daughter Queenie who is expecting her first child with her Pakistani husband Usama Mir.
Gusto ko lang one at a time maka-deliver sila. Sana katulad ng Tita Mariel nila, normal. Sana mag breastfeeding din sila, sana organic lahat."
Even though it came as a surprise to him, Padilla wishes his daughter a safe pregnancy.
As for Kylie's showbiz career, Padilla prefers her to focus first on the arrival of the baby.
He said Kylie's priority will definitely change once she already has a child.
Padilla added that he's better in giving career and life advice than about relationships.
Walang pasado. Lahat ng mukhang nandoon, bagsak 'yun. Never akong na-involve sa pag-ibig. Hindi trabaho ng tatay yon."
The actor's mood then shifted when Kylie's boyfriend, actor Aljur Abrenica was introduced to the conversation.
"Ano ba ang kinalaman nun sa MoneyGram?" he said.
Padilla tried to veer away from any topic involving Abrenica but eventually said that it's better to talk about his daughter and her fiancé if it's about marriage.
He explained that as a father, he only wishes the best for his daughter.
Padilla said he wants the partners of his children to provide a comfortable life and secure a better future, just like what he strived for.
Kylie and Queenie are both five months pregnant. The former is engaged to Abrenica while the latter is back in Pakistan with her husband. (VoxPop Philippines)
