VICE President Leni Robredo attended Monday's Legislative Executive Development Advisory Council (Ledac) meeting in Malacañang, her spokesperson Georgina Hernandez confirmed on Tuesday.
Hernandez said the meeting focused on determining and recommending socioeconomic development goals for the current administration as well as integrating priority legislative agenda with the national development plan.
"Aside from the clarifications she (Robredo) raised in [Monday's] meeting regarding some of the proposed bills, our Office will submit in writing more detailed comments, including pushing for some measures which she considers to be most important for national development," Hernandez said in a statement.
Hernandez said Robredo is specifically pushing for the following bills:
1. National Food Security Bill
2. Freedom of Information Bill
3. People Empowerment Bill
4. Land Use Bill
5. On-site, In-city or Near-city Bill
6. Department of Housing Bill
7. UDHA Amendments on Eviction
8. Anti-Discrimination Bill
Robredo, according to her spokesperson, assured that she remains fully committed to protect the country's interests and continue to engage the administration on important policy issues.
The Ledac meeting was the first time Reobredo set foot in the Palace after she resigned from the Cabinet last December.
The Vice President is one of the members of the Ledac, according to the law that created it. (VoxPop Philippines)
