PRESIDENTIAL Spokesperson Harry Roque has also been appointed as President Rodrigo Duterte's adviser on human rights.

This was announced by Roque in a statement sent to Palace reporters on Wednesday afternoon, November 22.

Roque, however, failed to mention as to when the appointment was made.

Malacañang has also yet to release Roque's appointment paper.

As the new Presidential Adviser on Human Rights, Roque assured the public that human rights will be protected.

"Being appointed recently as Presidential Adviser on Human Rights concurrent with my being the Presidential Spokesperson, I will take steps to ensure that the Philippines discharges its obligations in protecting and promoting human rights, especially the right to life," he said.
