RTVM 'accidentally' plays film at Presidential Communications FB page

THE Radio-Television Malacanang (RTVM) has apologized after a foreign film was "accidentally" aired live at the Presidential Communications Facebook page Friday morning, June 2.

Part of the movie "Logan," which ran for about 30 seconds, was posted at around 10:20 a.m. at the Facebook page, which was later removed.

"We regret that this slip-up happened while we continue to work on our daily broadcast documentation and coverage of presidential engagements," said RTVM, an agency under the Presidential Communications Operations Office headed by Secretary Martin Andanar.

It said the film was "erroneously played" for a few seconds by its technician that was "doing a test on the equipment set-up."

"We remain committed to our mission in serving the Filipino people through news dissemination with the widest communication reach," RTVM said.

The Presidential Communications Facebook page is being followed by over one million people.

The activities of President Rodrigo Duterte and other press conferences in Malacanang are usually being aired live by this page. (SDR/VoxPop Philippines)
