AFTER being initially disqualified, labor leader Wennie Sancho and former director Roy Cordova are again running for District IV director of the Central Negros Electric Cooperative (Ceneco) during the special election on March 26.

Malou Parroco, head of Coop Promotion Section, said both filed their respective certificates of candidacy (COCs) with the March 15 deadline.

“Their documents will be evaluated. It will be known today if they are qualified to run against each other,” Parroco said.

District IV-Bacolod East covers Barangays Villamonte, Montevista, Estefania, Alangilan, Granada, Vista Alegre, Mansilingan, and Abkasa.

Parroco also said no one has filed a COC for District V director.

Eventually, the Ceneco Board will look for a representative from the district who will be approved by the National Electrification Administration and will sit as director, she added.
