DAVAO City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio asked Senator Antonio Trillanes IV where she can find the P121-million ill-gotten wealth that the senator accused her of.
“If Trillanes can show where my alleged P121 million right now, and how it became illegal, kunin natin at ibigay ko sa inyong lahat (let’s get it and I will give it to everyone),” Duterte-Carpio said in a statement issued Thursday, February 16.
The mayor defended herself saying she has always been honest with the public.
“Wala akong postura labas sa kung ano ang nakikita ng lahat (I have no posturing on anything except on what everyone has seen). I never pretended to be something I am not,” she said.
Trillanes on Thursdaydared the President to bare details of his bank accounts.
He showed documents that Davao based businessman Samuel Uy deposited millions in the bank accounts of Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte, her brother, Sebastian Duterte and the president’s common law wife, Honeylet Avanceña.
Duterte-Carpio, however, said that it is the call of the president to answer the accusations thrown against him.
“Let us allow President Rodrigo Duterte to decide how he wants the issue to go down,” the lady mayor said.
Trillanes also raised the same issue in April 2016 stating that then presidential frontrunner had P2.4 billion in bank transactions.
