ROMEO Serrano became the top qualifier after clinching the Datba weekly qualifying bowling tournament held at the NCCC Mall B3 Center Lanes Tuesday evening.
Serrano, who also won the last qualifying tournament, toppled a total of 965 pinfalls after four games, beating Paul Palacio who garnered 842 pinfalls.
Serrano, in a Facebook chat with Sun.Star Davao, said he did not expect he would be able to make a back-to-back victory, adding that when he scored 201 in the first game he thought of beating the top qualifier who tallied a total of 822 pinfalls in the tournament organized by the Davao Tenpin Bowlers Association (Datba).
"Nag concentrate ako ng mabuti and fortunately nakuha ko ang top qualifier," he said.
Serrano will also compete in the the Mandaluyong City Tenpin Bowling Association (MCTBA) Open this week and in the Araw ng Dabaw Classic event in March.
Serrano pocketed P500 while Palacio received P300.
