UNBEATEN St. John’s Institute (SJI) and University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos (UNO-R) registered 3-0 slates to take an early lead in Brackets A and B, respectively, in the ongoing 2018 National Basketball Training Center (NBTC) Bacolod Leg played at Natalio G. Velez gym in Silay City.
UNO-R blasted Mansilingan Christian Academy (MCA), 103-54 followed by an 82-80 triumph over defending champions University of St. La Salle while SJI defeated Negros Occidental High School (NOHS), 90-70 and Trinity Christian School, 114-27.
Reigning runner-up Bacolod Tay Tung High School also fortified their position in Bracket A with 2-0 record after demolishing Trinity Christian School, 140-45 and Bata National High School (BNHS), 123- 48. NOHS won by default against BNHS.
STI West Negros University strengthened its record in the team standing with 2-0 card after trashing winless La Consolacion College-Bacolod, 98-66 and MCA, 107-55. (HGD)
