THINGS got a little wet and wild last weekend at Ibiza Beach Club in Movenpick Hotel Mactan Island Cebu. Rain-slick weather didn’t stop over 400 party-goers from heading over to check out the second run of the Bay Area Takeover, a hip-hop beach event featuring local and international talents. The eight-hour party had guests enjoying the beats spun by several DJs taking turns. DJ Short and DJ Gino V, local favorites for both public and private events, joined DJ Noodles and P-Lo from the Bay Area music scene to churn out hip-hop and R&B mixes.
Upping the sexy vibe for the evening was a fashion show of new swimwear styles from Solti Activewear. It was refreshing to see that none of the models were sickly thin. Although the girls were of different shapes and sizes, they were all clearly fit and not skinny, just like brand owner and fitness advocate Kymberly Maitland-Smith. Solti Activewear is responsibly handmade in Cebu from upcycled textiles, and can be worn as sports wear, swim wear, or even out for day or night.
In case you didn’t make it to this last party at Ibiza Beach Club, don’t fret—word is there’s going to be another beach party as soon as next month!
