THE Anti-Jaywalking ordinance is the most highly complied ordinance of the Dabawenyos, a survey revealed.
The latest results of the City Wide Social Survey Series 8 (CWSS-8) of the Ateneo de Davao University (AdDU) revealed that the Anti-Jaywalking ordinance was the most highly complied ordinance with 84.1 percent (%), followed by Anti-Nuisance Ordinance with 73% and Garbage Segregation and Waste Disposal with 71.3%.
The Women’s Development Code is fourth as the most highly complied ordinance with 68.3% and was followed by the Anti-Discrimination Ordinance with 61.4%. Liquor Ban ordinance came sixth with 58.6%, while the Anti-Smoking Ordinance came seventh with 39.4% compliance.
Ordinances with least compliance include, speed limit with 29%, followed by Rainwater Harvesting Ordinance with 17.9% and Halal Food Certification Ordinance with 14.9%.
Aside from most highly complied, the study also revealed that 91.6% of Dabawenyos are happy with the strict implementation of the Anti-Jaywalking ordinance.
The CWSS 8 was conducted last October 21 to 26, 2017 was conducted through face to face interviews of 630 adults in Davao City in three districts and three sub districts.
The survey was conducted through random sampling with ±4, 95 % level of significance.
CWSS-8 was administered by the Social Research Training and Development Office of AdDU, and it is funded by the University Research Council.
