Suspected gunman, minor arrested in Sibonga

A 30-YEAR-OLD suspected gunman and his 16-year-old nephew were arrested in a checkpoint on the national highway in Barangay Bahay, Sibonga, southern Cebu around 4:20 p.m., Wednesday, May 31.

Gegilo Barriga Zamoro and the minor were apprehended by the personnel of Regional Public Safety Battalion (RPSB)-Central Visayas.

Zamoro, who was driving a motorcycle with the boy as his passenger, tried to evade the checkpoint. RPSB troopers, however, caught up with him.

Police found a .45 pistol loaded with five bullets from Zamoro while a transparent tooter and an improvised burner were found in Zamoro's motorcycle. (VoxPop Cebu)
