Taekwondo clinic set April 3-19

THE RCG Kaizen will conduct a summer taekwondo clinic on April 3 to 19 at the RCG Kaizen Taekwondo Club, 77 Carnation St. in Buhangin, Davao City.

RCG Kaizen head coach Arturo Lalican Jr., in a Facebook chat with VoxPop Davao Saturday, said the clinic will teach the athletes the basic of kicking, blocking, and punching as well as executing the proper taekwondo stance.

"Ituturo din dito sa clinic ang pinaka essence ng taekwondo which is ang discipline," said Lalican said who will be joined by former taekwondo Philippine national team mainstay Mary Anjelay Pelaez.

The 18-day summer clinic will also teaching the tenets of taekwondo which are self-confidence, modesty, perseverance, indomitable spirit and proper etiquette that will be used by budding jins in their daily lives.

Lalican also said that a learning assessment will follow after the clinic set on May 27 at the NCCC Mall Davao.

"After ng clinic meron kaming summer competition and they will compete in the summerian category," he said.

Registration is pegged at P2,000 for the 18-session clinic.
