TASK Force Kasanag head John Chiong said they will bring the case of Moises Padilla Vice Mayor Ella Celestina Garcia-Yulo before the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) for investigation.
Chiong said the family of Garcia-Yulo sought their help as they claimed that the vice mayor is a victim of injustice and that evidences were allegedly planted against her and her husband, Felix Yulo III.
The couple were flagged down by town policemen at Crossing Magallon in Moises Padilla past 6 p.m. on December 19.
Police allegedly recovered from their possession firearms, explosives, and illegal drugs.
Chiong said the Task Force conducted its own investigation into the incident and they will submit a report to the DILG and the Philippine National Police.
“We have gathered information from both parties and we will consolidate our report,” Chiong said.
He said it is the role of the Task Force to come out with a fair report on the cases referred to their office.
