BACOLOD Tay Tung High School secondary tracksters emerged over-all champions in the just-concluded Filipino-Chinese Amateur Athletic Federation (FCAAF) Track and Field Invitational Cup at Philsports Arena in Pasig City.
It was a great comeback for the Bacolod-based school after several years.
Most Valuable Player in secondary girls Antonette Jay Aguillon garnered six gold medals in the 100m, 200m, long jump, triple jump, 4x100 relay and 4x400 relay.
Joining Aguillon in the 4x100m and 4x400m relay gold haul are Delotavo siblings Ara Rahbea and Hannah Jandra, and May Therese Gula, who got her third gold in the 800m.
Tay Tung secondary girls also earned six silvers in the 400m hurdles, 100m hurdles, 100m, 200m, 1500m and 3000m.
Also winning a gold medal for Tay Tung is Franz Gela Bintad in the discus throw and a silver in the javelin throw.
Winning gold medals for the boys 4x100 and 4x400 relay are Ralph Vincent Acuña, Ralph Joshua Bangoy, Kenjie Okudiara, and Godwin Tulio.
Acuña also won the gold medal in the 200m while Jaden Gil Rivera added four more in the 800m, 1500m, 3000m steeple chase, and the 5000m.
The Thunderbolts also collected three silvers and four bronze medals.
In the elementary side, Jade Cordova won gold medals in the 100m hurdles and long jump while silver in the 400m hurdle.
Shalthea, the youngest of the Delotavos, won silvers in 100m, 200m and 400m. (HGD)
